Em Sounds Alive, duas mulheres encontram-se em tempos de guerra, unidas por um destino partilhado. Elas parecem inseparáveis. A sua jornada conjunta explora tentativas de proximidade e distância, força e fragilidade. Elas lutam entre si, enfrentando situações extremas, e respondendo com diferentes frequências e intensidades.
Ao longo da performance, as personagens tentam cantar, gritar e falar, mas emitem apenas um único som através do qual contam a sua história. A sua jornada é entrelaçada com imagens familiares e abstratas das batalhas que enfrentaram e de momentos fugazes de graça.
A peça completa tem a duração total de 50 minutos.
In Sounds Alive, two women meet during a time of war, bound together by a shared destiny. They appear inseparable. Their joint journey explores attempts at closeness and distance, strength and fragility. They fight one another and confront extreme situations, responding with different frequencies and intensities.
Throughout the performance, the characters try to sing, shout, and speak but emit only a single sound through which they tell their story. Their journey is interwoven with familiar and abstract imagery from the battles they have faced and fleeting moments of grace.
The full duration of the piece is 50 minutes.

Ofra Idel
Mestre em Dança e Teatro pela Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Dançou em companhias e com coreógrafos de renome em Israel e o seu trabalho tem sido apresentado no país e no estrangeiro. Em 2023, criou a peça de dança “SEE THROUGH” em realidade virtual, apresentada no Want To Dance (Taiwan) e selecionada para o Moovy Dance Film Festival 2025 (Alemanha). Foi convidada como membro de júri nas competições MASDANZA, Zawirowania, 10 Sentidos, OPUS e Hannover. Orienta alunos de mestrado e é cofundadora e diretora artística da MASH Dance House, que produz a Jerusalem International Dance Week and Choreography Competition.
M.A. in Dance and Theater from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. She has performed with leading companies and choreographers in Israel, and her work has been presented in Israel and abroad. In 2023, she created the VR dance piece SEE THROUGH, presented at Want To Dance (Taiwan) and selected for Moovy Dance Film Festival 2025 (Germany). She serves on juries for MASDANZA, Zawirowania, 10 Sentidos, OPUS, and Hannover competitions. Idel mentors M.A. students and is the co-founder and Artistic Director of MASH Dance House, which produces Jerusalem International Dance Week and Choreography Competition.
