Quando soube que a minha avó tinha morrido, quis correr para abraçar algo que me recordasse a imensidão que se acumulava quando a abraçava. Chovia muito e eu estava do outro lado do oceano, era impossível tocar no seu corpo antes de o entregar à terra como ela queria ser recebida.
Corri para o meu jardim à chuva e toquei na terra, apertei-a, acariciei-a e senti a sua mão a apertar a minha.
Consegui entrar no seu jardim com a minha memória e despedir-me dela no seu lugar preferido.
Onde é que os nossos corpos acabam e os nossos entornos começam?
When I found out that my grandmother had died, I wanted to run to hug something that would remind me of the immensity that accumulated when I hugged her. It rained a lot and I was on the other side of the ocean, it was impossible to touch her body before delivering it to the earth as she wanted to be received.
I ran to my garden in the rain and touched the ground, squeeze it, caress it and feel her hand squeezing mine.
I was able to enter her garden with my memory and say goodbye to her in her favorite place.

Produtora e realizadora do Chile e da Colômbia, sediada em Quito, Equador. Tendo trabalhado 15 anos na indústria, em 2016 inicia o seu percurso como realizadora e produtora de duas longas-metragens, incluindo Cuentos para no Dormir (Not a Bedtime Story). Em 2020, fundou a sua produtora Lunar Films.
Amalia Herrera
Uruguaia, estudou artes cénicas no Uruguai e no Brasil. Participou em muitos espectáculos na América Latina e depois também na Holanda (cinema e teatro). Para o HET LAB, trabalhou em Azul (Krokusfestival 2019). Também dá workshops de dança nos Países Baixos e na Bélgica.
Lila Penagos
Producer and director from Chile and Colombia, based in Quito, Ecuador. Having worked 15 years in the industry, in 2016 she begins her path as a director and producer of two feature films including Cuentos para no Dormir (Not a Bedtime Story). In 2020, she started her production company Lunar Films.
Amalia Herrera
From Uruguay, studied performing arts in Uruguay and Brazil. She played in many Latin American shows and afterwards also in the Netherlands (film and theatre). For HET LAB she worked on Azul (Krokusfestival 2019). She also gives dance workshops in the Netherlands and Belgium.
