Nos grandes salões do Teatro Nacional de Drama da Lituânia, um empregado de limpeza de meia-idade transforma o edifício vazio no seu palco pessoal. Juntamente com o seu amigo e colega segurança, criam um pequeno espetáculo de dança que reflecte o mundo interior da personagem principal, a sua ligação à casa do teatro e a sua transformação de trabalhador normal em artista. A história foi inspirada na escultura em frente ao teatro, “Três Musas”, que simboliza o Drama, a Comédia e a Tragédia.
In the grand halls of the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre, a middle-aged cleaner transforms the empty building into his personal stage. Together with his friend and fellow security guard, they create a small dance performance reflecting the main character’s inner world, connection to the theater house, and transformation from a regular worker into an artist. The story was inspired by the sculpture in front of the theater, “Three Muses,” symbolizing Drama, Comedy, and Tragedy.

Realizador e artista visual com formação profissional em coreografia. Durante muitos anos, o seu interesse centrou-se na arte contemporânea e no movimento como linguagem subconsciente. É autor de várias curtas-metragens premiadas. O seu “primeiro contacto” com as artes visuais foi através da fotografia, em 1999. Em 2014, licenciou-se na Academia de Cultura da Letónia com um mestrado em realização cinematográfica.
Atualmente, participa ativamente em vários projectos artísticos interdisciplinares como realizador de cinema, artista de vídeo e coreógrafo.
Film director and visual artist with professional background in choreography. For many years the focus of his interest has been on contemporary art and the movement as the subconscious language. He is the author of a number an award-winning short films. His “first contact” with visual art was through photography in 1999. In 2014 he graduated from the Latvian Academy of Culture with a master’s degree in film directing.
At the moment, he actively participates in various interdisciplinary art projects as a film director, video artist, and choreographer.
