LOS INICIOS

Esta apresentação é o resultado de uma residência de criação em Almada, fruto da parceria com o programa “Atopémonos Bailando – Residencias Artísticas e Investigación”, dirigido pelo Colectivo Glovo. 
“Los Inicios” é uma peça coreográfica que mergulha na memória de curto prazo. O desenvolvimento do projeto baseia-se num processo colaborativo entre o coreógrafo e o intérprete, onde a construção da linguagem cénica surge da improvisação e da experimentação conjunta. O intérprete, com os seus próprios desafios e inspirações, contribui com a sua personalidade para o processo criativo, enriquecendo a peça através da troca de conhecimento artístico. Como eixo fundamental, será trabalhada a memória de curto prazo como princípio compositivo. Será investigado quanto material coreográfico somos capazes de reter após vê-lo uma única vez. Para isso, o coreógrafo improvisará durante 30 segundos, tempo baseado na crença popular sobre a memória de um peixe. Em seguida, o intérprete tentará lembrar e reproduzir a sequência da forma mais fiel possível, revelando as distorções, perdas e reinterpretações que surgem no processo de memorização corporal.

This presentation is the result of a creation residency in Almada, within the partnership with the program “Atopémonos Bailando – Residencias Artísticas e Investigación”, directed by Colectivo Glovo.
“Los Inicios” is a choreographic piece that delves into short-term memory. The project’s development is based on a collaborative process between the choreographer and the performer, where the construction of the scenic language arises from improvisation and joint experimentation. The performer, with his own challenges and inspirations, contributes with his personality to the creative process, enriching the piece through the exchange of artistic knowledge. As a fundamental axis, short-term memory will be worked on as a compositional principle. We will investigate how much choreographic material we are able to retain after seeing it only once. To this end, the choreographer will improvise for 30 seconds, a time based on the popular belief about the memory of a fish. The performer will then try to remember and reproduce the sequence as faithfully as possible, revealing the distortions, losses and reinterpretations that arise in the process of bodily memorisation.
