“Extender como si pudiera” (Estender como se pudesse) é um solo criado para espaços não convencionais. A peça explora os limites do corpo e o ilimitado: com o acompanhamento do psicanalista e filósofo Igor Teo e da dramaturga Gena Baamonde, Julia leva o corpo até à sua própria borda, até essa camada mais externa anterior ao outro, onde a alma aflora no rosto, nos dedos e na pele.
A peça combina composições barrocas com as dinâmicas do vogue, do popping e do waacking, numa busca por essa linha infinita que separa o profundo do leve. Um encontro poético entre o corpo da artista e os corpos que observam, um convite à intimidade e uma tentativa de se mostrar além dos próprios limites.
“Extender como si pudiera” (Extend as if I could) is a solo created for unconventional spaces. The piece explores the limits of the body and the limitless: accompanied by psychoanalyst and philosopher Igor Teo and dramaturge Gena Baamonde, Julia pushes the body to its own edge, to that outermost layer just before the other, where the soul surfaces in the face, the fingers, the skin.
The piece combines Baroque compositions with the dynamics of vogue, popping, and waacking, in search of that infinite line separating depth from lightness. A poetic encounter between the artist’s body and the bodies that watch, an invitation into intimacy, and an attempt to reveal oneself beyond one’s own limits.

Julia Laport
Julia Laport (Oleiros, 1993) é uma bailarina e criadora galega radicada na Corunha. Forma-se em dança desde criança e em 2011 emigra para Londres, onde absorve o Popping, Hip Hop, House e Waacking durante cinco anos.
Em 2016 funda na Galiza a companhia Elahood junto com Sabela Domínguez. Com “Intempestiva” (2021) vence o prémio de melhor espetáculo do DZM e os prémios de espetáculo e crítica no 35º Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid. Em 2022 estreiam “NÓ”, coprodução com o CCG.
Dirige o Colectivo D’elas, com “Velaiquich, amoorch!” (2025), prémio do público no 39º Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid. A solo estreia “Extender como si pudiera” (2023), com digressões pela Costa Rica e Colômbia. Concilia direção e docência.
Julia Laport (Oleiros, 1993) is a Galician dancer and choreographer based in A Coruña. Trained in dance since childhood, she moves to London in 2011, immersing herself in Popping, Hip Hop, House and Waacking for five years.
In 2016 she founds the company Elahood in Galicia with Sabela Domínguez. With “Intempestiva” (2021) they win Best Show at the DZM festival and Best Show and Critics’ Prize at the 35th Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid. In 2022 they premiere “NÓ”, a co-production with the CCG.
She directs Colectivo D’elas, with “Velaiquich, amoorch!” (2025), Audience Award at the 39th Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid. Solo, she premieres “Extender como si pudiera” (2023), touring Costa Rica and Colombia. She combines directing with teaching.
