Qual a importância da história para qualquer indivíduo? Como é que o passado molda a nossa identidade? Godos, considerado uma narrativa feminina lituana, é um dos pontos de partida deste programa de dança. Godos é uma antiga palavra lituana que geralmente se refere a sonhos melancólicos, sentimentos, esperanças, pensamentos nostálgicos e expectativas não realizadas. O que é que Godos significa hoje e como vivenciamos Godos?
What is the importance of history to any individual? How does the past shape our identity? Godos, considered to be a Lithuanian feminine narrative, takes one of the starting points in this double bill dance performance. Godos is an old Lithuanian word that is usually defined as wistful dreams, feelings, hopes, nostalgic thoughts and unfulfilled expectations. What does Godos mean today and how do we experience Godos?

É uma das principais figuras da dança contemporânea lituana e fundadora, diretora artística e força motriz do Aura Dance Theatre desde 1980. Pioneira da dança contemporânea na Lituânia, ela fundou a primeira companhia profissional do país, nutrindo gerações de bailarinos e atraindo talentos internacionais. A sua coreografia funde mitologia, natureza e temas sociais, usando a dança como ferramenta para o diálogo cultural. Também fundou o Aura International Dance Festival em 1989 — hoje uma plataforma fundamental na cena da dança báltica.
Is one of the leading figures in Lithuanian contemporary dance and the founder, artistic director, and driving force of Aura Dance Theatre since 1980. A pioneer of contemporary dance in Lithuania, she established the country’s first professional company, nurturing generations of dancers and attracting international talent. Her choreography fuses mythology, nature, and social themes, using dance as a tool for cultural dialogue. She also founded the Aura International Dance Festival in 1989—now a key platform in the Baltic dance scene.
