“Sapatos de Polimento”, um conto escrito por Hermínio Barreto, nunca chegou a ser lido. “Shark Skin” é a revelação desse texto pelos olhos do neto do autor, imaginando a sua leitura e espelhando o seu imaginário através do corpo que cessa de ler e começa a dançar.
“Sapatos de Polimento”, a short story written by Hermínio Barreto, was never actually read. “Shark Skin” is the revelation of this text through the eyes of the author’s grandson, who imagines reading it and reflects his imagination through a body that stops reading and begins to dance.

Francisco Miguel
Francisco Miguel (2000) é um artista multidisciplinar sedeado em Lisboa, Portugal. Licenciou-se em Fine Art pela Chelsea College of Arts UAL após completar o Foundation Diploma em Art e Design pela Arts University of Bournemouth e o curso de Comunicação Audiovisual na Escola Artística António Arroio, especialização Cinema e Vídeo. Participou em diversos projetos e colaborou com diferentes instituições: Tate Britain (Late at Tate Britain), BOCA – Bienal de Arte Contemporânea de Lisboa (BOCAsub21), Universidade de Aveiro e American Corners Portugal (Workshop “A Câmara como Corpo Comum”), entre outros. Desde 2023 leciona na Escola Artística António Arroio como professor de Imagem e Som A.
Francisco Miguel (2000) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Lisbon, Portugal. He graduated with a degree in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts, UAL, after completing a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at the Arts University of Bournemouth and a course in Audiovisual Communication at the António Arroio School of Art, specialising in Cinema and Video. He has taken part in various projects and collaborated with a range of institutions, including Tate Britain (Late at Tate Britain), BOCA – Lisbon Biennial of Contemporary Art (BOCAsub21), the University of Aveiro and American Corners Portugal (the workshop ‘The Camera as a Common Body’), amongst others. Since 2023, he has been teaching at the António Arroio School of Art as a lecturer in Image and Sound A.
Joana Franco
Joana Franco (1999) conclui a Licenciatura em Dança (ESD, 2019) e o Mestrado em Criação Coreográfica e Práticas Profissionais, com o projeto final “Kaput!: um protótipo de toda a coreografia” (2023). No âmbito da criação de dança e performance, destaca a colaboração com Lara Maia em “encontros corporais” e “Pose”, bem como as interações performativas com as exposições “Mão-de-Obra” de António Bolota (Culturgest) e “Moldada na Escuridão” de Hugo Canoilas (Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian). Integra o Projeto de Investigação, Desenvolvimento, Inovação e Criação Artística “Criação Coreográfica – Processo, Registo e Análise” (Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa). Colabora com a Culturgest em projetos como “Qual o Futuro da Instituição Cultural?”.
Joana Franco (1999) completed her Bachelor’s degree in Dance (ESD, 2019) and her Master’s degree in Choreographic Creation and Professional Practices, with her final project “Kaput!: a prototype of the entire choreography” (2023). In the field of dance and performance creation, her work includes collaborations with Lara Maia on “encontros corporais” and “Pose”, as well as performative interactions with the exhibitions “Mão-de-Obra” by António Bolota (Culturgest) and “Moldada na Escuridão” by Hugo Canoilas (Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation). She is a member of the Research, Development, Innovation and Artistic Creation Project “Choreographic Creation – Process, Documentation and Analysis” (Lisbon Polytechnic Institute). She collaborates with Culturgest on projects such as “What is the Future of the Cultural Institution?”.
