Em ‘Tales to Disturb’, dois bailarinos dialogam com o público, explorando como transmitir as suas emoções através de uma linguagem minimalista de expressões faciais e corporais. Um espaço ambíguo surge quando comunicamos uma emoção diferente da que realmente sentimos, muitas vezes devido à necessidade de ocultar a nossa verdadeira emoção. Esta zona cinzenta levanta uma questão importante: poderemos ainda parecer sinceros ao expressar emoções encenadas, ou será que a emoção autêntica vem inevitavelmente ao de cima?
In ‘Tales to Disturb’, two dancers engage in dialogue with the audience, exploring how to convey their emotions through a minimalistic language of facial and bodily expression. An ambiguous space emerges when we communicate an emotion different from what we genuinely feel, often due to the necessity of concealing our true emotion. This grey zone raises an important question: can we still appear truthful when expressing staged emotions, or does the authentic emotion inevitably surface?

“Tales to Disturb” foi criado no âmbito do projeto vier x vier no Theater aan de Rijn e apresentado com o apoio de Conny Janssen Danst, Flanders State of the Arts, Stray Birds Dance Platform, Danzad Danzad Malditos, Teatri Riflessi, Common Ground Festival, STUK Start e Jeju International Dance Festival. “Tales to Disturb” was created in the frame of vier x vier at Theater aan de Rijn, and performed with the support of Conny Janssen Danst, Flanders State of the Arts, Stray Birds Dance Platform, Danzad Danzad Malditos, Teatri Riflessi, Common Ground Festival, STUK Start, and Jeju International Dance Festival.

Biografia Biography
Laura Daelemans
Laura Daelemans é uma bailarina, coreógrafa e ilustradora belga. Formou-se em Dança pela ArtEZ (Holanda) e, logo de seguida, juntou-se ao conceituado grupo de sopros I SOLISTI como uma das suas quatro artistas do MakerSpace. Laura coreografou para instituições internacionais como o Teatro Municipal do Porto (Portugal), o Toneelgroep Maastricht (Holanda) e a Escola de Ballet Mosa (Bélgica).
A sua obra Tales to Disturb foi apresentada 21 vezes em 7 países. Em Taiwan, a Tales to Disturb foi galardoada com o South-Korean International Performing Arts Project. Daelemans está atualmente a trabalhar na fusão do seu trabalho visual e coreográfico, resultando na sua primeira criação de espetáculo completo, ‘MANA’, produzida pela I SOLISTI (BE).
Laura Daelemans is a Belgian dancer, choreographer, and illustrator. She graduated from the ArtEZ Bachelor of Dance (NL), and directly after joined renowned wind ensemble I SOLISTI as one of their four MakerSpace Artists. Laura choreographed for international institutions such as Teatro Municipal do Porto (PT), Toneelgroep Maastricht (NL), and the Mosa Ballet School (BE).
Her work Tales to Disturb has been presented 21 times in 7 countries. In Taiwan, Tales to Disturb was honoured with the South-Korean International Performing Arts Project award. Daelemans is currently working on merging her visual and choreographic work, resulting in her first full evening creation ‘MANA’, produced by I SOLISTI (BE).
