“HOW TO _ just another Boléro” é um breve dueto baseado na famosa peça orquestral em um único andamento «Boléro», de Maurice Ravel. Esta composição inspirou os dois autores a criar uma paisagem de corpos em constante mudança dentro do espaço limitado de um tapete.
Os intérpretes, como animais em cativeiro, estão comprimidos num espaço apertado mas familiar, onde parecem ter perdido as noções e as memórias da sua natureza, do seu papel e do seu comportamento para a coexistência. «HOW TO _ just another Boléro» pretende ser um retrato de diferentes tentativas de reaprender a comportar-se, a tocar, a cooperar, a ajudar, a amar… alternando constantemente entre tons dramáticos e irónicos.
“HOW TO _ just another Boléro” is a short duet on the renowned one-movement orchestral piece “Boléro” by the composer Maurice Ravel. This composition inspired the two authors to create an ever-changing-bodies-landscape within the limited space of a carpet.
The performers, as animals in captivity, are squeezed into a tight but familiar space, where they seem to have lost the notions and memories of their nature, role and behavior for coexistence. “HOW TO _ just another Boléro” aims to become a portrait of different attempts at re-learning how to behave, touch, cooperate, help, love… constantly shifting between dramatic and ironic tones.

EM+
EM+ é o projeto que combina as práticas coreográficas de Emanuele Rosa e Maria Focaraccio (IT/DE). As obras do EM+ têm sido apresentadas em inúmeros festivais em Itália e no estrangeiro (Espanha, Portugal, Grécia, Eslovénia e França). Em 2023, Emanuele e Maria foram selecionados como artistas do ResiDance XL e para o projeto de internacionalização das artes performativas italianas Crossing the Sea. Foram também convidados para a secção «Visiting Artists Programme» do projeto europeu Big Pulse, no âmbito do Festival Tanec Praha.
Em 2024, o EM+ foi selecionado para o projeto trilateral de residências coreográficas internacionais (IT/DE/FR) Étape Danse. A sua terceira obra, «amən», foi selecionada para os Open Studios da NID Platform 2024.
EM+ represents the project that combines the choreographic practices of Emanuele Rosa and Maria Focaraccio (IT/DE). EM+’s works are presented in numerous festivals in Italy and abroad (Spain, Portugal, Greece, Slovenia and France). In 2023, Emanuele and Maria have been selected as artists of ResiDance XL and for the internationalization project of Italian performing arts Crossing the Sea.
