Colour and light. The light and the dark. Fullness and emptiness. The beautiful and the strange. Perfect scenes, in which the real and the virtual blend and confuse. Real and virtual bodies, perfect in their imperfections, sometimes sublime, in imaginary flights or voluntary submersions, surpassing physical and social limits. Movement and stillness, full and empty spaces, lines and forms, rhythms and compasses, marked by soft sounds, or wild, screaming and silence. Concepts and preconceptions staged through bodies filled with dramaturgy. Moments of encounter or confrontation, relationships of intimacy or avoidance.
All of this we can see and experience in this, the 26th Quinzena de Dança de Almada.
Dance allows us to communicate emotions and impressions, feelings and states of mind more intensely than through words. And it is this communication, permeated by sensitivity and empathy, punctuated by the emotion of contact with and through the body, which we hope to develop through the program we present here.

A cor e a luz. O claro e o escuro. O cheio e o vazio. O belo e o estranho. Cenas perfeitas, em que o real e o virtual se fundem e confundem. Corpos reais e virtuais, perfeitos nas suas imperfeições, por vezes sublimes, em voos imaginários ou voluntárias submersões, ultrapassando limites físicos e sociais. Movimento e quietude, espaços cheios e vazios, linhas e formas, ritmos e compassos, marcados por sons suaves, ou agrestes, gritos e silêncios. Conceitos e preconceitos encenados através de corpos plenos de dramaturgia. Momentos de encontro ou de confronto, relações de intimidade ou de esquivez.
A tudo isto poderemos assistir e experimentar nesta 26ª Quinzena de Dança de Almada.
A dança permite ir mais longe do que a palavra no que respeita a comunicação de emoções e impressões, de sentimentos e estados de espírito. E é esta comunicação, permeada de sensibilidade e empatia, pontuada pela emoção do contacto com e pelo corpo, que esperamos desenvolver através do programa que aqui apresentamos.
